Walk around the “Bassin du commerce” Cherbourg, France

One morning, I take a walk to the city center from Cherbourg in France. I’ve accessed via a swing bridge over a lock of 16 meters wide which allows it to connect face outer harbor. The “basin of commerce” Cherbourg is bordered by the “Quai Alexander III” and dock of Warehouse. A disused railway line runs along the two quaies.

The “Basin Du Commerce” is a very special place in Cherbourg, because it is at the very heart of the city. It is a nice quiet and relaxing place to walk around. this place is a change of scenery and a breath of fresh air …

I had the chance to photograph the sailboat Gunilla, which was moored at “Quai Alexander III”. The Gunilla is a regular of port of Cherbourg to conduct one or two stopover by year. The yacht should enter the trade pool around 20:30 and stopover is scheduled for a week. In fact, the sealboat left the day after my visit.
