Tokyo, movie across parks and buildings

After a meeting next Tokyo station, I go to the Imperial Garden next to Marunouchi Police Station. The Imperial garden is surrounded by a moat and an abundant variety of trees, it is like a world apart Situated right in the middle of Tokyo. But I had not time to go on the inside of the Imperial Palace East Gardens (皇居 東 御苑, Kokyo Higashi Gyoen) are apart of the inner palace area and are open to the public. This is open from April 15 to the end of August, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (entry up to 4:30 p.m.).

So, not far away, I go walking at the Tokyo International Forum which includes two theaters, one among the largest in the world, over 6,000 square meters of exhibition space, conference rooms Several restaurants, shops and amenities. The two-block granite paved Plaza at the center of the complex serves not only as the entry point for the complex, but as a public space with seating among Zelkova trees  and sculptures.

The atrium and other structures are linked by two levels of underground space as well as several above ground glass encased catwalks.

Then I go to Shiodome. Shiodome (汐留) is a recently redeveloped city district in Tokyo, which opened to the public in 2002. Shiodome consists of various towers linked by elevated walkways and underground passageways. Skyscrapers in Shiodome house the offices of such giants of Japanese business and commerce as ANA, Fujitsu, Mitsui Chemicals, Nippon Express, Nippon Television (NTV) and Softbank.

The main towers in Shiodome are Shiodome City Center, Caretta Shiodome, Nippon Television Tower, the Panasonic Shiodome Building, the high rises of the Park Hotel Tokyo in Shiodome Media Tower, the Royal Park Hotel Shiodome in the Shiodome Tower and the Conrad Hotel. Further on adjacent to Hammamatsucho Station past Italia-gai (Italian Town) are the Shiodome Shibarikyu Building, which houses a Pokemon Center and the Shiodome Building.

Shiodome can be divided into three parts – Shiodome Shiosite (consists of skyscrapers housing businesses, hotels, and restaurants), the West area (a cooperative zone consisting of European-style buildings), and the South area (consisting of residential apartment buildings).

I Filmed with bmpcc (blackmagic pocket cinema camera) and record ProRes HQ with Atomos Ninja 2. I use a Sony external battery and a rig from “Smallrig”. It is relatively compact to put in the camera bag, and it remains relatively discreet for shooting in the street.
