GoPro footage to match up as close to the Blackmagic footage

Having filmed with my blackmagic camera, almost all day, on the other side of Pic Cassin mount Lozere, I did not have any more batteries. Also, I have entirely filming with my gopro session 5, in Protune, 2.7 k 30 fps. As I do not like the dominant yellow in the range of footage colors,  I graduated the colors in Davinci Resolve,  using a LUT from Tom Majerski that transforms the range of colors like those of the blackmagic pocket cinema camera.

Regular video cameras derive a limited dynamic range, which is why their images look like video. The Blackmagic Pocket Camera Camera offers a true film look because it captures a wide dynamic range of 13 stops, so your images are really cinematic. This means that you remove all sensor data for the DaVinci Resolve!

The gopro session 5 camera, like other compatible cameras, offers advanced Protune ™ controls for color, ISO limit, sharpness and exposure. These advanced Protune settings offer a higher degree of control than the previous Protune implementation.  With some exceptions, as a general rule of thumb, you probably only want to turn Protune on if you plan to do further processing in post-production.

Tom Majerski:

“ GoPro Protune Flat to BMD FIlm LUT – designed to allow blackmagic cinema camera and pocket camera LUT’s to be applied to the GoPro footage and to allow the GoPro footage to match up as close as possible to the Blackmagic footage».

After I make my color adjustments as usual and to export the rushs in “Uncompressed YUV 422 10-bit”. Then I do the editing in the usual software.
